Cyberdeck: Services

Project

Cyberdeck is a dungeon crawler with a card combat system set on a failing space station. You fill the role of an engineer on the station with the decision to abandon the station or try to save it. Throughout the game you will experience fast paced combat encounters, and be presented with moral dilemmas that will make you weigh up the implications of your actions.

As a first year student project, it turned out to be quite the challenging experience, mainly with the under-respresentation of  the artist role within our team composition, which greatly hindered development.

I designed much of the core of the game, the systems and combat.

I designed a lot of the cards and iterated on them by using a paper prototype of the combat and traversal system to playlists from a very early stage.

​

I also designed all of the UI for the entire combat system. The cards, buttons and displays of the systems such as armour, health and decks.
